Vertical Identity

Vertical Church is a Spirit-filled body of believers with deep roots in the Apostolic doctrine and the Pentecostal experience.

The church’s outward impact focuses on missions and community service, while the inward focus is on hospitality, connection, and mutually serving.

New to Vertical Church?

Getting in the door:

Be sure to stop by our Welcome Center right inside the front door! Our hosts will be happy to

provide you with a gift and a bulletin, answer your questions, and direct you to the sanctuary, the

children's areas, and the restrooms.

Family Worship Time (for adults and children):

Worshiping God is not only a directive of scripture, but it's also our passion and privilege. So,

get ready for a great time of lifting Jesus up! If you have children, please bring them too! After

experiencing the worship service in the sanctuary with their families, the children are invited to

the V-Kids Children's Center where trained and caring teachers will share Jesus with them on

their own level, while the adults will hear the Word.

Giving:

When it comes time to honor God with financial gifts, we do not expect our guests to

participate in the offering, unless you want to. Vertical Church is supported by its members and

regular attendees. Give here!

Kids are important at Vertical Church!

Sunday School

After joining the entire congregation for family worship time, children aged 4-12 enjoy a dynamic and engaging Sunday School experience every Sunday at Vertical, (except for the first week of each month, when they get to stay in the sanctuary to experience an entire service with their family).

Nursery

After the family worship time, children under the age of 4 are encouraged to enjoy Vertical Church’s nursery program while their parents hear the preached Word.

V-Girls

Once a month, Vertical’s girls, aged 6-11, enjoy a special, girls-only event where they connect with other girls, learn a Biblical concept, and do fun girl focused activities together.

V-Boys

Once a month, the 6-11 year old boys gather for a boy-themed event where they internalize Biblical teaching and participate in hands-on activities

Vertical Leadership

  • Vertical Church was God’s idea. For many years, Pastor Robert Mitchell, and his wife, Lisa, felt God directing them to plant a church in the Denver area and finally, at the beginning of 2012, the timing was right.

Each raised in the home of a great man of God, Pastor Robert and Lisa Mitchell have enjoyed the unique privilege of experiencing ministry from the "inside out" their entire lives. They’ve spent three decades in ministry around the world, working as full-time evangelists, church planters, camp meeting and conference speakers, ministerial trainers, and pastors. That experience provided the perfect foundation for the mission of planting and nurturing a new church.

The Mitchells, along with their three daughters, Madison, Meghan, and Marley, now actively serve the growing congregations of Vertical Church, as the founders and lead pastors.
