Vertical Identity

Vertical Church is a Spirit-filled and Word-centered body of believers with deep roots in the Apostolic doctrine and the Pentecostal experience.

Our outward impact focuses on missions and community service, while our inward focus is on family, hospitality, connection, and mutually serving one another.

Welcome to Vertical

Getting in the Door:

As soon as you arrive, make sure to visit our Welcome Center just inside the front entrance! Our friendly hosts are eager to greet you with a special gift and a bulletin. They'll gladly answer any questions and guide you to the sanctuary, children's areas, and restrooms.

Family Worship Time:

At Vertical Church, worshiping God is both a passion and a privilege. We love seeing families worship together! Start the service in the sanctuary with your children, enjoying a vibrant time of praise and worship. Afterwards, your kids are welcome to join the fun at the V-Kids Children's Center. There, our dedicated and loving teachers will share the message of Jesus in a way that's engaging and understandable for them, while you stay in the sanctuary to hear the Word.

Giving:

During our service, we take a moment to honor God with our financial gifts. As our guest, please feel no obligation to give—this is a time for our members and regular attendees to support the church. Give here! If you feel led to contribute, you are welcome to do so.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Vertical Church!

Kids are a top priority at Vertical Church! We offer a variety of programs to ensure your children have a fun, enriching experience while learning about God's Word.

Sunday School:

Following the family worship time, children aged 4-12 can dive into a dynamic and engaging Sunday School every Sunday, except the last of each month. On the final Sunday, they stay in the sanctuary to experience the full service with their family.

Nursery:

For our littlest ones, children under 4, we provide a nurturing nursery program during the entire service. This allows parents to focus on the worship and sermon, knowing their young ones are in good hands.

V-Girls:

Once a month, girls aged 6-11 enjoy a V-Girls gathering; a special event just for them. They connect with peers, learn a Biblical concept, and enjoy fun, girl-focused activities.

V-Boys:

Similarly, boys aged 6-11 meet once a month for V-Boys. These gatherings feature boy-themed events where they engage with Biblical teachings and participate in exciting, hands-on activities.

At Vertical Church, we are committed to providing a safe, loving, and spiritually enriching environment for your children. All of our Sunday School and Nursery staff are vetted and background checked. We look forward to seeing your family grow with us!

Vertical Leadership

  • Vertical Church was God’s idea, nurtured in the hearts of Pastor Robert Mitchell and his wife, Lisa, for many years. In early 2012, they felt God’s timing was right and founded Vertical Church in the Denver area.

Both raised in the homes of great men of God, Robert and Lisa Mitchell have had the unique privilege of experiencing ministry from the "inside out" throughout their lives. With three decades of global ministry experience as full-time evangelists, church planters, camp meeting and conference speakers, ministerial trainers, and pastors, they were well-prepared for the mission of planting and nurturing a new church.

Today, the Mitchells actively serve the growing congregation of Vertical Church as founders and lead pastors, committed to guiding and growing their community in faith and service.

  • Chris & Veronica Reynolds – Youth: Leading Vertical’s students, ages 12-18, and ensuring they have a meaningful and engaging church experience.

Connor & Samantha Gibson – Sunday School: Providing a dynamic and nurturing worship experience for kids aged 4-12 every week.

Candyce Foster – Nursery: Ensuring a safe and enriching environment for our smallest children, from 0-3 years old.

Karen Hemmes – V-Groups: Organizing and supporting small groups that meet throughout the Denver metro area during the week.

Mark & Marte Saiz – Elements: Maintaining and managing equipment and facilities to support the church’s needs.

Zach Ragland – Sound: Enhancing the audio experience for all services, ensuring clear and impactful sound.

Krystal Gibson – Media: Coordinating the visual and media elements, providing a cohesive visual experience throughout the week.

Our extended leadership team is dedicated to serving every aspect of our church community, ensuring that Vertical Church remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
